It's official!

Last night as I was putting Makayla to bed she asked me if we could start homeschool tommorrow...So last night as I was praying and preparing... I know God has it! I am so blessed she is excited so why shouldn't I be? Today went great! Praise God!! It makes Josh and I even more eager to finish the homeschool room, which is what we will take on for our night job as kids go to bed! I will be super busy but hope to use the blog through our new season and record things we do throughout the day.... :)

That's the one...

That's the face that convinced me to pop balloons off my belly when she was around 1, and to play dress up with her at 2 when I could no longer fit into my clothes due to just having her little brother (and way too much fast food) it is also the face when she wanted to do gymnastics and then take a break at 3 (only to want to go back) It's that same face that I had to say no to at walmart when she wanted junk food and was picking up all kinds of things and adding to the cart. It is also that face that always picks up the water balloons asking if I could play with her..







Most of the time... I say YES!










These are the faces that just cracks me up and also makes me think of Grandma Gill who was so full of life and loved making you smile with her silly faces.Drew had my camera and wanted to see our muscles. Then of coarse he had to show his off as well. I look back at my last post and see how both of my babies are growing up right in front of my eyes and Praise God HE has allowed me not to be just a mom, but THEIR mom and how blessed I truly am to watch how HE is growing them....and me!

Growing up

I can't believe it is almost one of my babies birthdays again! I had a hard time with these pictures because Drew just looks so grown to me in these. I was blessed when he brought his little puppy dog (Shaggy) to take a picture with. I was so excited thinking this just might be the last year he will want to have a stuffed animal in pictures so I must enjoy this little boy while I can. What you all can't see is how my sweet little girl and his big sister was right behind me making him laugh. I now have my very own assistant!

To my Dad and Mom on their new marriage.... I love you both

The creation of marriage is recorded in Genesis 2:23-24: "The man said, ‘This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called “woman,” for she was taken out of man.’ For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and they will become one flesh." God created man and then made woman to complement him. Marriage is God’s “fix” for the fact that “it is not good for the man to be alone” (Genesis 2:18).

The word “helper” used to describe Eve in Genesis 2:20 means “to surround, to protect or aid, help.” Eve was created to be alongside Adam as his "other half," to be his aid and his helper. A man and woman, when married, become "one flesh." This oneness is manifested most fully in the physical union of sexual intimacy. The New Testament adds a warning regarding this oneness. "So they are no longer two, but one. Therefore what God has joined together, let man not separate" (Matthew 19:6).

There are several epistles written by the apostle Paul that refer to marriage and how believers are to operate within the marriage relationship. One such passage is 1 Corinthians chapter 7, and another is Ephesians 5:22-33. When studied together, these two passages provide biblical principles that form a framework for a God-pleasing marriage relationship.

The Ephesians passage is especially profound in reference to a successful biblical marriage. "Wives, submit to your husbands as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior" (Ephesians 5:22-23). "Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her" (Ephesians 5:25). "In this same way, husbands ought to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. After all, no one ever hated his own body, but he feeds and cares for it, just as Christ does the church” (Ephesians 5:28-29). “For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh” (Ephesians 5:31).

When a believing husband and wife institute God’s principles, a biblical marriage results. A biblically based marriage is one that is in balance, with Christ as the head of the man and the wife together. The biblical concept of marriage is a oneness between two individuals that pictures the oneness of Christ with His church.

Dad's wedding

That's right, one wedding down and one more to go...I think Charisse, Tony Lee, and I are more overwhelmed by the fact that both parents decide to get married in the same year! I dont have Dad's new family picture but here are a few that I was able to get.
